Hat island residence is located in Hat Island which is near Seattle, Washington, this beach house was designed by Bjarko | Serra Architects.

From architects : ” This vacation retreat, located on an extraordinary beachfront setting, was designed as two separate buildings—one for living and eating, and the other for sleeping. The separate bedroom wing provides extra privacy, so late-night entertaining does not disturb sleeping children or weary parents, as the case may be. Extensive water views, generous decks, and the sheltering orientation of the two buildings contribute to a fluid relationship between living areas and the surrounding seascape. ”

Designed by Marcus O’Reilly Architects, this beach house has many typical local features. It has sandstone base walling, weatherboard construction, is up on stilts, has a skill-ion roof form, ti tree stakes, stainless steel wire balustrade, and a ‘hole punched’ galvanized steel – sided timber stair all combining to give an informal air to this new take on an old theme.

Situated on one of the most unspoilt stretches of Britain’s coastline, the design lifts elements of the local vernacular and takes on the spirit of the contrast between the soft Devonian landscape and the harshness of its rocky cliffs. The house had become one of the best known and loved modern private homes in the UK. Designed by Hudson Architects.

This is private summer house was designed by WRB Architects, the site is a waterfront property located on an island in the Archipelago of Stockholm. The house sits slightly back and elevated from the waterfront, half hidden behind the knotty pine trees. Facing the ocean is a large area for socializing. A floor, a roof and a freely standing core for utilities make up this part of the building. It has an indoor part and an outdoor part, separated only by a sliding glass wall. The sleeping room, storage, and bathroom are gathered in a more closed structure behind the core. They face a secluded courtyard framed by rock formations and the old oak tree.
