Sorento House, Beach House Design by Marcus O’Reilly Architects

Designed by Marcus O’Reilly Architects, this beach house has many typical local features. It has sandstone base walling, weatherboard construction, is up on stilts, has a skill-ion roof form, ti tree stakes, stainless steel wire balustrade, and a ‘hole punched’ galvanized steel – sided timber stair all combining to give an informal air to this new take on an old theme.

Grant Creek Residence in Missoula, Montana by Heliotrope Architects

Situated in foothills above Missoula, Montana. Designed by Heliotrope Architects, the house was designed for an active young family and is oriented to minimize its exposure to inclement weather from the north and maximized views and sunlight south towards the creek. It is entered on the upper level into the main living space. Sleeping, recreation and service space are in the lower level, partly submerged below grade, and open toward to the creek.

B Residence in Prinsenbeek by Grosfeld Van der Velde Architecten

This house is located on the border between the village and the countryside of Prinsenbeek. The clients wanted to achieve a maximum residential volume due to the maximum allowed bouwvlak of 15 x 15 meter, which is built on 3 layers. By slightly elevating the floor over the ground has the potential to link through the basement windows to provide daylight. Likewise the lifted floor living residents more insight into the beautiful surroundings. Designed by Grosfeld Van der Velde Architecten.

Atelier and Guest House Design by C. F. Møller Architects

Situated on a coastal slope, this atelier and guest house was designed by C. F. Møller Architects. The new building and terrace become part of sequence of steps and terraces, meandering down the slope. The interior is clad in birch veneer panels, with coloured insets, and every wall becomes a composition of light and graphics in itself.
