Minimalist and Beautiful Apartment Living Space by Moto Designshop Inc. This apartment in Philadelphia was renovated by Moto Designshop Inc to make it minimalist yet comfy and beautiful. Faced with windows on three sids, the apartment is flooded with natural light and views of the city skyline. The design concept called for a limited palate of clean, defined materials to emphasize the open plan. White was chosen as color for walls, floors and some furniture. Black nicely accompanying it making great accents on kitchen, windows, TV, fireplace and some other parts of the interior. (more…)

Lakeshore Residence is Modern Home Design with Indian Architecture, designed by Miró Rivera Architects. Lakeshore Residence subtle Indian influences mixed with a modern sensibility. The architects have previously studied in India domes of stone architecture, we step intricate wells and towers of the temple. Summary versions have included input pattern, terraces and ponds, a puja (prayer) room, the highest element of the building, according to Indian tradition. The owner has requested and the extensive use of white stone and glass, an architect responded with a composition that combines white and stone exterior with copper and outside the forest. (more…)

Hughes Center Hotel, Luxury Hotel with Luxury Interior, designed by SOM. Located in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States. This hotel and condominium project celebrates the unique climate and vegetation of the desert. Each suite has its own garden and is oriented parallel to the façade, so every room enjoys sunlight and a view of colorful desert flowers. Designed to give the feeling of visiting a friend’s villa, the hotel will be the world’s first codified six-star luxury accommodations, and SOM’s design process includes the creation of new protocols of social life and guest service. The material palette and visual language are simple, comfortable, and modern. Light filters down over vertical surfaces of stone and wood, reflecting pools establish a tranquil character, and desert flowers and plants add color. (more…)

Jameson House, Green House was designed by Foster and Partners, located in Vancouver, Canada. Developed in response to the local climate, the concept for Jameson House has been sensitive to seasonal sun paths, prevailing winds, humidity levels, air temperatures and precipitation rates specific to the location. Directional wind profiles and solar exposure have been used to help determine the facade design and external building form to achieve lower thermal loads and opportunities for open balconies and natural ventilation. Jameson House will also be a green building in a more literal sense. The top of the tower, the balconies, and a roof terrace at level 4 will be green spaces, introducing planting and trees to the precinct area, irrigated naturally via a rainwater harvesting system. North Sydney House, Contemporary House was designed by Johannsen and Associates, Located in Sydney. Two small existing cottages were fused together to form one contemporary residence.The original sandstone walls provide richness and warmth to the living areas. Upstairs, they reveal the architecture of the old worker’s cottages. The stairwell is slotted into the space between the existing buildings, which creates an axis point for the house’s various zones.
